City Parks – Bowden Park

Bowden Park is located at 340 Bowden Drive. The facilities at Bowden Park are a playground, an open, grassy area, and a swingset.

City Parks – Felton Little Park

Felton Little Park is located at 341 E Glenn Ave.
Felton Little Park has a playground with swings and picnic tables, as well as some baseball fields.

City Parks – Hickory Dickory Park

Hickory Dickory Park is “a unique playground experience for children,” according to the Auburn Community Profile. It is located at 1399 Hickory Ln.
City Parks – Kiesel Park
Kiesel Park is located at 520 Chadwick Ln. Kiesel Park is Auburn’s largest park, with a pavilion, a garden, a pond, and a 2 1/4 mile walking trail. The Nunn-Winston house is also located at this park.
City Parks – Martin Luther King Park
Martin Luther King Park is located at 190 Byrd Street. It has a pavilion, a playground, a basketball goal, and a fenced-in field.

City Parks – Moores Mill Park

Moores Mill Park is located at 900 E University Dr. It has a large grassy area, a sand volleyball court, and a wooded area with picnic tables.

City Parks – Sam Harris Park

Sam Harris Park is located at 850 Foster St. It has a playground, a pavilion, and a walking trail that is 1/6th of a mile long.

City Parks – Town Creek Park

Town Creek Park is located at 1150 S Gay St. There is a walking trail here that is 0.87 miles long, and an additional trail is being built around the pond.
City Parks – Municipal Park (Monkey Park)
A beautiful city park located across the street from the Opelika
Recreation Center on Denson Drive. Rocky Brook Creek meanders through the park
making it a perfect picnic destination. The park contains both a shelter and a
gazebo with picnic tables. They are available for rental through the Recreation
Center. A unique attraction in the park is the Rocky Brook Rocket, a vintage
train. The train runs seasonally and is also available for rental. Playgrounds
are located throughout the site. Restrooms available. Municipal Park has
recently been upgraded to meet ADA standards.

Not Free, But Still a Really Good Deal
Auburn City Pools: The Auburn Parks and Recreation Department maintains two pools for public use: Drake Pool and Samford Pool. Both pools maintain regular hours from Memorial Day – Labor Day each year. A number of aquatics programs are offered at the pools during the summer months, including swimming & scuba lessons, water workouts, and youth swimming & diving teams. Admission: Daily admission is $2/person. Children 1 & under are free. Season passes are available at the Dean Road Recreation Center during regular business hours, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Individual Splash Passes are $50/each or $100 for a family pass (parents and children).
Chewacla State Park: Chewacla State Park’s 696 scenic acres are a delightful pause from nearby interstate traffic. Facilities include a 26-acre lake, swimming area, playgrounds, hiking trails, a modern campground, picnic areas with tables, grills and shelters. Entrance Fee: Weekdays: $2 for Adults, Weekends: $3 for Adults ; Children 6 to 11 years of age: $1
